THE CREATOR HANDBOOK / 7 MIN READ

Image creation guide

Understand every setting, from text-to-image to reference-based editing.

01Create your first image

  1. Open Image studio with one prompt row. Pick a simple subject, such as a cup of coffee by a window.
  2. Add composition, light and style. Copy the example below and replace its subject.
  3. Choose an available model, 1:1 ratio and 1K if supported. Keep default quality.
  4. Review the price and generate. Check composition and subject before raising resolution or quality.
Try this example
A white ceramic coffee cup on a light wooden table, soft steam rising from the rim. Morning sunlight enters from the left, softly blurred indoor plants behind. Close-up, cup in the lower right, clean negative space in the upper left. Warm natural commercial photography, no text or watermark.

02Image settings explained

Setting / questionWhat it meansWhat to do
PromptDescribe what to create and preserve. Accepts 5–5,000 characters in Chinese or English.Use subject + setting + composition + light + style + constraints. Avoid conflicting instructions.
ModelAffects instruction following, style, text and details. Settings vary by model.Compare a few results with the same prompt, then refine the preferred look. Check the studio for current options.
Aspect ratioSets frame width relative to height, not sharpness.Use 1:1 for avatars, 2:3 / 3:4 for posters, 16:9 for banners, 9:16 for mobile.
ResolutionSets pixel scale, commonly 1K, 2K or 4K. Exact dimensions depend on model and ratio.Explore at 1K, use 2K for general output, 4K for larger images or detail. Higher resolution may cost more and take longer.
QualityStandard / Medium / High changes detail and processing effort, separately from pixel resolution. Shown for supported models.Use default or Standard for drafts, compare Medium / High for finals. Higher quality does not guarantee better adherence; check the price.
Reference imagesGuide subjects, composition, materials or style. Up to five JPEG, PNG or WebP images per prompt.Use clear images and explain each role, what to change and what to preserve.
Multiple prompt rowsUp to eight rows, each with its own references and task. Model, ratio and other settings are shared.Useful for comparing ideas. Check all references and total credits; complete blank or short prompts.
Provider (when shown)Identifies the service handling the task, not an artistic style. Some deployments choose it for you.Keep the default for normal use and choose from the displayed settings.

03Choose a ratio for the destination

Setting / questionWhat it meansWhat to do
1:1 · SquareAvatars, product photos, square social cards.Center the subject with breathing room.
2:3 / 3:4 · PortraitPortraits, fashion, posters and article covers.Leave space above and below for typography.
3:2 / 4:3 · LandscapePhotography, product scenes and illustrations.Balance subject and setting.
16:9 / 9:16Landscape video covers / portrait short-video covers.Choose orientation before generating to avoid heavy cropping.

04Use image references well

Use sharp subjects with little occlusion and natural proportions. For style references, specify colors or lighting to avoid copying unrelated objects.

Each prompt has its own references. After copying them to other rows, check their relevance. Removing a reference in one row does not change other rows.

Try this example
Use the white sneaker from image 1, preserving its shape, material and colors. Place it on pale concrete at sunrise. Use image 2 only for warm light and shadow direction. Front three-quarter view, entire product in frame, no new patterns, logos or shoes.

After a refresh, local files may need reselection. If rejected, compress or convert as instructed; renaming an extension does not convert a file.

05Improve an image

  • Wrong composition: specify framing, subject position, viewpoint and negative space.
  • Subject drift: use clearer references, specify preserved features, request fewer changes.
  • Text errors: shorten and quote the exact words. For strict typography, add text later in a design tool.
  • Low detail: raise resolution or quality after composition is right. Change one setting at a time.
  • Download the original from its detail page. Choose “Create video” to bring it into Video studio.
